OVERVIEW
CR’s Data Intelligence (CRDI) programs deliver consumer-driven data insights from our rigorous and trusted research, testing and surveys to industry experts, including manufacturers, regulators, and researchers. The revenue generated from this program helps support our mission driven work while simultaneously driving upstream market impact to consumer safety.
The Account Manager reports to the Account Executive and sits on the Data Intelligence team. In this position you will provide analytical and advisory support to our data clients, enabling the account team to service our manufacturer and policy partners.

How You’ll Make An Impact
The meaningful contributions you make to our strategy and revenue goals work towards informing the design and development of products (including autos, electronics and household appliances), as well as the standards and policies to better prioritize consumer safety, security, performance, and quality. On a daily basis, you may:
- Partner with leadership to deliver operational support for CRDI’s accounts and clients.
- Troubleshoot accounts for clients, handling technical support, responding to inquiries, and ensuring they receive timely information regarding CRDI’s products.
- Safeguard CR’s independence and mission by adhering to the program’s conflict of interest policies.
- Prepare presentations, reports, contracts and other key documents.
- Analyze client profiles and client activity with a focus on account targeting and optimization, spotting trends in client concerns and opportunities, and avenues to improve the client experience.
- Maintain CRDI’s operational budget planning including working with accounting and finance on planning and forecasts, purchase orders, track payments, and research issues.
- Support training clients on product use while serving as a point of contact for the client.
- Track client activity and provide reports for leadership.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll Be Highly Rated If:
- You have earned the degree. You have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field.
- You have the experience necessary. You have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a sales or account management organization with focus on research analytics and/or data-centric solutions.
- You make data-driven decisions.You are proficient with analyzing consumer data and developing insights for businesses and other organizations.
- You can juggle multiple priorities, operate effectively in a dynamic environment, and rigorously prioritize initiatives based on business objectives.
- You have strong communication, organization and project management skills.
- You are able to navigate a matrixed structure and build consensus among stakeholders.
- You are proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office products. (Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

FAIR PAY AND A JUST WORKPLACE
At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation.The target salary range for this position is $130K-$145K. This posted range is reflective of the NY/CA market. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range.Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
