BARISTA

We’re seeking a Barista to join our Cafe team at our NeueHouse Madison Square property. The Barista will report directly to the Service Manager.

Schedule: Opening shifts are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and closing shifts run from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

What You’ll Do:

• Delivers fast, friendly, and personalized customer service while building rapport and educating guests on products, menu offerings, and freshness.
• Maintains full knowledge of coffee, tea, and food menus, including blends, regions, roasts, and preparation methods, with ongoing learning and product education.
• Prepares all beverages, including blended and cold drinks, in accordance with company recipes, procedures, and quality standards; completes required monthly certifications.
• Accurately takes, calls back, and fulfills customer orders in person and over the phone, including handling payments and providing correct change.
• Proactively addresses customer needs, resolves issues, and escalates complaints to the manager on duty as needed.
• Supports daily operations by weighing, grinding, and packaging coffee, serving food items, restocking inventory, and assisting with shipments.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including routine cleaning and reporting safety hazards, incidents, or operational inconsistencies to management.

• Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting, and be able to focus on distant and close-range projects

Full Time Hourly Rate: $25.00

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
