The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Finance Intern to join the team and support accounting, reporting, internal controls, and financial planning and analysis. As an Intern, you will have the chance to work closely with Core Scientific’s Finance Team and will be exposed to various facets of our organization, allowing you to develop essential skills and knowledge in the field.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and see how Finance plays a strategic role in supporting a high-performing, public company
- Support Finance functions across accounting, reporting, internal controls, and financial planning and analysis
- Partner with Finance and Technology teams to identify potential AI use cases to drive efficiencies across the organization
- Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work assignment
- Develop a diverse skillset through hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the business
- Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be current student (rising junior or senior) graduating in 2026 or 2027, actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree program in the field of Business studies; a Business Technology focus preferred
- Must be available for a minimum of 10+ weeks for the internship
- Must be in office in Austin, TX
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Experience using AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to improve process efficiencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some nights and weekends may be required.
