Job Overview
The Manager, Project Management oversees the structure, performance, and maturation of Coretelligent’s Project Management practice. This leader is responsible for building consistent project delivery processes, implementing governance and workflows, coaching the PM team, and partnering cross-functionally to remove roadblocks and ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
This role will help transform a developing PM function into a disciplined, scalable organizational capability. You will evaluate systems (including ServiceNow), refine workflows, establish reporting and success metrics, and work closely with engineering, Client Lifecycle, Procurement, and Delivery leadership to drive alignment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and skilled at both coaching PMs and operationalizing clarity in an environment that is evolving and growing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, ensuring strong project execution, clear communication, and effective conflict management.
- Build and refine standardized project delivery processes, templates, and workflows to drive consistency and predictability across all initiatives.
- Evaluate and optimize the use of systems—including ServiceNow—for project tracking, workflow management, and reporting; recommend improvements or alternatives as needed.
- Oversee project governance, including scope alignment, timeline management, risk escalation, documentation quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Client Lifecycle, Procurement, Finance, and other teams to resolve delivery roadblocks and support project flow across the organization.
- Participate in daily huddles to identify obstacles, clarify priorities, and support PMs in maintaining momentum.
- Improve backlog visibility and ensure structured tracking of WIP hours, aging projects, and upcoming demand.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards tied to key delivery metrics, such as utilization, project timeliness, budget adherence, CSAT, onboarding health, and mean delivery times.
- Identify high-risk or delayed projects early, implement corrective actions with PMs, and ensure leadership receives clear, concise updates rather than raw or fragmented information.
- Remove operational inefficiencies, streamline cross-functional communication, and drive continuous improvement across the project management function.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience, including leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within IT, cybersecurity, cloud, or managed services environments.
- Hands-on familiarity with IT or technical service delivery environments (infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or MSP strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum); no strict framework preference, but solid working knowledge required.
- Experience building or maturing a PM practice or improving existing PM delivery structures.
- Proficiency developing workflows, governance structures, and reporting dashboards.
- Ability to coach PMs through ambiguity, interpersonal conflict, delivery resets, and tense client interactions.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify chaos, create clarity, and maintain momentum across multiple teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information for executive leadership.
- PMP or equivalent credential is preferred, not required.
- Comfortable working autonomously under a leadership style that encourages collaboration and independence.
