Your impact

As we continue expanding our reach, we are seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager who can amplify our mission and bring our impact to life.

In this role, you will shape our social presence across TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms, creating platform-native content that engages learners, partners, and communities. You will lead social campaigns, manage paid and organic digital marketing efforts, and drive measurable audience growth and lead conversion. Working closely with marketing, product, and program teams, you will help build visibility for our free, expert-led training programs, our partnerships with top employers such as Amazon, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, and the U.S. State Department, and our commitment to creating inclusive pathways into high-demand careers.

This is a high-visibility role that blends creativity with analytics. You will use insights from social listening and performance metrics to optimize campaigns, spot trends, and experiment with new formats. You will have significant ownership of content strategy and execution, helping shape the brand voice and tell compelling stories that inspire action. A day in the life 

  • Develop and execute a creative social media strategy to grow our audience, increase engagement, and drive lead conversion.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize the social media strategy across TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Experiment with emerging platforms and formats to expand reach and engagement.
  • Create compelling content, including copy, short-form video, and graphics, tailored to each platform and audience.
  • Manage social media calendars and campaigns across multiple platforms, both organic and paid.
  • Monitor trends, perform social listening, and use analytics to optimize content and campaign performance.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics, using insights to adjust strategies and improve results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and program teams to support brand initiatives.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely, human-centered manner.
  • Identify and partner with influencers or partners as needed to expand reach and impact.

Your expertise 

  • 2–3 years of professional social media management experience.
  • Strong understanding of all major social platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X).
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing campaigns and performance optimization.
  • Ability to create content tailored to platform-specific best practices.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with social listening and content optimization best practices.
  • Impeccable writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of lead generation tactics and social-driven conversion strategies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, and passionate about self-improvement.
  • Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Self-starter, capable of independent time management and prioritization.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
  • Experience with influencer marketing or community-building initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation tools.

  • This role is remote but should be located in the Greater Toronto, Canada area.

The compensation range for this position is specific to location and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include (but are not limited to) location, experience, education and skill sets.
