OVERVIEW

The Operations and Delivery Senior Associate will lead and deploy customer agreements across our life science portfolio. This individual will own management and coordination of critical projects and work plans, delivery progress, and customer relationships. In addition, the Operations and Delivery Senior Associate will lead initiatives to improve and streamline our internal operations across the company. 

A primary area of focus will be identification of critical dependencies and bottlenecks and driving successful execution across multiple departments. The ability to understand and manage complex processes, prioritize work, communicate effectively, and align multiple stakeholders will lead to success. 

LOCATION: New York, NY (In-Office)

WHAT WILL YOU GAIN

WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR FIRST YEAR AT COTA:

In thirty days, you will:

  • Understand COTA’s business model, datasets, and LS delivery workflow in detail
  • Gain understanding and engage in assigned LS projects from contractual obligations through project plan development and tracking to implementation with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Understand COTA ways of working, including internal tools/platforms/policies and key meeting engagement
  • Socialize and build key relationships to work effectively in this cross-functional role through participating in COTA’s social events and actively asking questions and problem-solving to create efficiencies and improve the company

In three months, you will:

  • Deliver multiple disease portfolios and manage issues and risks during project execution
  • Provide ongoing client support as the point person for LS project delivery and maintain high level of customer satisfaction while balancing internal team burden
  • Scope and/ or plan implementation of optimization initiatives (internal or external) to improve COTA’s current business
  • Identify/ support internal initiatives of interest to drive quick wins


In six months, you will:

  • Fully and independently manage the disease portfolios you own
  • Provide ongoing client support as the point person for LS project delivery and maintain high level of customer satisfaction while balancing internal team burden
  • Scope and/ or plan implementation of optimization initiatives (internal or external) to improve COTA’s current business\

In one year, you will:

  • Be experienced in LS delivery processes and how to drive ongoing process optimization
  • Be experienced in handling complex and new client requests
  • See company-wide positive outcomes from cross-functional initiatives you have lead

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT COTA

  • Own complex projects and deliverables, leading internal and external coordination efforts throughout the delivery lifecycle. Ensure successful delivery of RWD products and services.
  • Independently manage multiple projects by leveraging various project management tools. Develop work plans and drive towards stated goals, leading oversight and execution efforts. Track progress, mitigate risk, and resolve issues.
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders. Lead and inspire cross-functional teams internally and achieve consistency in alignment on goals, status, required actions, and impact.
  • Expertly manage client relationships. Set clear expectations and consistently meet or exceed them. Serve as an effective liaison between internal teams and clients. Create, review, and sign off on customer-facing presentations and deliverables.
  • Prioritize both independent and team-based problem-solving and issue resolution. Work to define the problem, generate and evaluate alternative solutions, and implement solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline internal operations, collaborating cross-functionally to structure, measure, execute, and scale. Drive knowledge and adoption at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to thought leadership for the development and refinement of product offerings across COTA’s customer segments.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, public health, biological sciences, engineering, or mathematics. Other degrees of focus considered provided relevant experience exists.
  • 3-5 years of experience working at a top consulting firm in a client-facing role, preferably with a healthcare focus. Experience at a healthcare-focused data/analytics or technology firm is also considered. Depending on years of experience and qualifications, the candidate may be considered for the Senior Associate role.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Must be able to create and manage work plans as well as provide both high-level oversight and day-to-day operational support.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and translate technical content to a variety of audiences. Agility to work across and develop relationships with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in the use of analytical tools, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Natural ability to stay organized and desire to reduce complexity.
  • Interest in engaging directly with oncology provider organizations and/or biopharma partners to help advance their research and business-related strategies using RWE.
  • Interest in COTA’s offerings, curiosity to learn the nuances of healthcare data, and passion to impact the future of healthcare delivery.
  • Based in New York. Occasional travel may be expected.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with data analytics and/or oncology
  • Experience in technical implementations preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or other work planning and prioritization tools
  • Proficiency in SQL Workbench

Salary Range: $130K-150K
