And, with a pipeline representing over 25% of insured Americans, we are in the early stages of improving care quality for all patients across the globe.

About the role

Covera Health is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to help scale and support the technology that powers our growing organization. In this hands-on role, you’ll own day-to-day IT operations across endpoints, SaaS platforms, identity systems, networking, and user support while helping improve the reliability, security, and maturity of our internal IT environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing responsive end-user support with systems administration, automation, and operational improvement. You’ll work across a modern technology stack including Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools, MDM platforms, VPN infrastructure, and endpoint security tooling, while also contributing to infrastructure, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, technically curious, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment. The right person will not only solve problems as they arise, but also proactively improve workflows, documentation, security posture, and the overall employee technology experience across the company.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Own day-to-day IT support requests, including password issues, laptop troubleshooting, software access, license management, and general end-user support.
  • Improve endpoint management by supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM), ensuring managed devices remain current, secure, compliant, and properly inventoried.
  • Support the Medmo migration across email, Slack, shared tools, services, and user access workflows.
  • Manage IT-supported tools such as Jira, Zoom, Adobe, 1Password, Google Workspace, Slack, and other core business applications.
  • Own user provisioning and deprovisioning across Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and other systems to improve onboarding, offboarding, and access control.
  • Support Virtual Private Network (VPN) operations, including user access, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.
  • Support on-premise networking and infrastructure improvements, including security, automation, documentation, and operational reliability.
  • Provide datacenter support, including occasional onsite visits to perform hardware troubleshooting, coordination, and hands-on support.
  • Automate repetitive IT workflows where possible to reduce manual work and improve consistency.
  • Strengthen IT process maturity by improving documentation, escalation paths, asset tracking, and support responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Level 1 through Level 3 IT support across Mac and Windows environments, including laptop issues, password resets, access issues, software troubleshooting, and general user support.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, and deprovisioning across Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and other business applications.
  • Administer and support core SaaS tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools, Zoom, Adobe, 1Password, and other IT-supported platforms.
  • Support endpoint management and security through Mobile Device Management (MDM), device compliance, patching, inventory accuracy, and endpoint protection tools such as Bitdefender.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Virtual Private Network (VPN) access, basic networking issues, Domain Name System (DNS), connectivity issues, and on-premise network components.
  • Support identity and access management, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, Azure/Entra federation, least privilege access, and access review processes.
  • Support security and compliance activities, including System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-aligned practices, evidence collection, and control execution.
  • Provide hands-on infrastructure support for the datacenter, including occasional onsite visits, hardware support, server troubleshooting, networking support, and vendor coordination.
  • Automate repetitive IT workflows using Bash, PowerShell, Zapier, or similar tools to improve consistency and reduce manual work.
  • Improve IT documentation, support processes, asset tracking, escalation paths, and operational reliability.
  • Own and maintain the organization’s IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle, including hardware/software inventory, asset provisioning, tracking, auditing, and decommissioning to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar hands-on technical support role with the ability to operate independently.
  • Strong Mac and Windows troubleshooting experience, including laptops, operating systems, software support, access management, and user-facing technical issues.
  • Experience managing user lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, deprovisioning, and account management.
  • Hands-on administration experience supporting platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools, Zoom, Adobe, 1Password, and related SaaS applications.
  • Experience managing identity and access systems, including SSO, MFA, Google Identity, Azure/Entra federation, and least-privilege access controls.
  • Experience supporting endpoint management, MDM platforms, device compliance, patching, inventory management, and endpoint security tooling.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPNs, DNS, remote access, connectivity troubleshooting, and on-premise networking support.
  • Familiarity supporting security and compliance practices in HIPAA- and SOC 2-aligned environments.
  • Experience automating repetitive IT workflows using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Zapier, or similar scripting and automation tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users professionally and effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to support the Secaucus, NJ datacenter as needed, including occasional onsite visits for hardware, networking, or infrastructure support.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with FleetDM, Jamf, Intune, or similar MDM platforms.
  • Knowledge of Bitdefender or similar cloud-managed endpoint protection tools.
  • Familiarity with Tailscale or similar VPN solutions.
  • Exposure to Snipe-IT or similar IT Asset Management (ITAM) platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian tools, Jira Service Management, Zoom, Adobe, and 1Password.
  • Exposure to Azure / Office 365 environments, including Entra ID federation or hybrid identity environments.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, physical servers, networking hardware, or datacenter operations.
  • Experience supporting office AV systems, including Google Meet rooms or similar conferencing environments.
  • Knowledge of API-based workflow automation, no-code/low-code automation tools, or Python scripting in addition to Bash or PowerShell.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
