
Social Strategy Intern

The Intuit-Credit Karma Intern Program is a 7-11 week paid internship located in Charlotte, NC. During your internship, you will be placed into a team where you will work on various projects to help Credit Karma fulfill our mission to make financial progress possible for everyone. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in weekly meetings, team outings, events, and engage in discussions with CK leadership. We’re looking for a Social Media Strategy Intern to join Credit Karma’s Social Media Strategy team this summer. In this role, you’ll help support the day-to-day work that keeps Credit Karma’s social channels active, relevant, and engaging. You’ll work closely with the team to help monitor conversations, spot trends, support content creation and engage with our community.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves social media, spends a lot of time on TikTok and Instagram, and is curious about how brands show up online. You don’t need to be an expert, we’re looking for someone eager to learn, contribute ideas, and grow their skills in a fast-moving environment.
Please Note - Our internship program will be in-person in Charlotte, NC.
What you'll do:
- Support the day-to-day management of Credit Karma’s social media channels, including TikTok and Instagram
- Monitor social conversations, comments, and DMs to help keep our community engaged and informed
- Track trends, creators, and viral moments, and share insights with the team
- Assist with content creation by brainstorming ideas, gathering references, and helping with execution
- Help with scheduling, publishing, and organizing social content across platforms
- Analyze basic performance metrics and help summarize what’s working (and what’s not)
- Collaborate closely with teammates to support campaigns, launches, and ongoing social initiatives
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be in at least their second or third year of college and enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program
- Experience using social media platforms, especially TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram - for personal and/or school-related projects
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive, proactive attitude
- Comfort with change, social moves fast, and priorities can shift quickly
What We’d Like to See:
- A previous internship in social media related fields is a plus.
- Someone who genuinely loves social media and stays up to date on trends, creators, and viral moments
- Curiosity about why certain content works and how people interact with brands online
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
