Pay Range: $108,882.00 - $136,103.00

General Purpose of the Position |
The Senior Systems Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex application systems and ensuring their optimal performance. This role blends software development with DevOps principles to automate and streamline the application development process. The Senior Systems Developer will collaborate closely with IT teams, including development, infrastructure, and security, to enhance system integrations and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of software. In addition, the Senior Systems Developer will have responsibilities on the operations side to ensure the operational functions of third-party applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes the following). May perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex applications and software systems.
- Lead the automation of manual processes and integration of new technologies (e.g., web services, vendor APIs) into existing systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external development teams to establish robust software solutions for the organization and its members.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to best practices in design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Implement and optimize DevOps practices, focusing on process automation, release management, and system reliability.
- Act as a technical lead, conducting code reviews and providing guidance to junior developers.
- Ensure all software releases are thoroughly tested for performance, scalability, and security, and document any issues or changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing Tier 3 support as needed.
- Drive deployment strategies across multiple environments (development, QA, staging, production).
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including BSA, AML, and security best practices.
- Will professionally and positively work directly with third party vendors while representing the integrity and reputation of the Credit Union.
- Assist in project planning and development for IT and other areas as needed.
- Use judgment to prioritize and manage all projects as assigned and solicit direction as necessary.
- Provides excellent service by demonstrating courtesy and personal concern for members and co-workers needs and follows-up to ensure those needs are met.
- Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the credit union, including the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC.
- Responsible for compliance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti Money Laundering Act, including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Computer Information Systems/Computer Engineering or related program; or four (4) years in a related field.
- 6-8 years of programming/development experience, preferably in financial services.
- Exemplary technical and business assessment skills to evaluate strategic value of technology systems, data solutions and work processes to serve members and employees.
- ITIL Foundations Certification preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in: (Symitar) PowerOn, (Symitar) Symform PDF, bash, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, tSQL and .NET preferred.
- Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Dell Boomi, Jira).
- Knowledge of web service development (REST/SOAP), vendor API integration, and system integration principles.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps environments.
- Experience with databases and database management (SQL Server (SSDB)).
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
