Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Voice Platform)
About the role:
- Cross-platform client app: Develop robust Windows/macOS applications, including custom virtual audio drivers.
- Server-side orchestration: Architect a low-latency endpoint to process agent audio through STT, translation, and TTS pipelines.
- Real-time UI/UX: Design intuitive interfaces for transcription, translation visibility, and integration with Cresta's existing products.
- Translation quality: Pioneer methods to evaluate and improve translation accuracy in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end development of Cresta's real-time translation platform, spanning client apps (Windows/macOS), server infrastructure, and user-facing features.
- Build custom virtual audio drivers to replace third-party tools. - Design and optimize server endpoints for real-time audio processing (STT → translation → TTS).
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate translation services and evaluate quality metrics.
- Create bi-directional translation UX flows, ensuring seamless integration with Cresta's agent assist tools and analytics platforms. - Solve latency challenges to enable near-instantaneous voice translation.
- Drive cross-platform compatibility, including Windows Audio Session APIs and macOS Core Audio.
- Own deployment, monitoring, and scaling via Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications We Value:
- 3+ years as a **full-stack engineer** with **production-grade desktop app experience** (Windows/macOS).
- Mastery of **real-time systems**: WebSockets, gRPC, audio/video streaming, and low-latency optimization.
- Proven experience with **audio processing** (e.g., virtual drivers, ASIO, Core Audio).
- Server-side expertise in Go/Python/Node.js/Java/C++, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and database optimization.
- UI/UX fluency: Electron, React, or native frameworks for desktop apps; ability to prototype user-centric features.
- Fearless problem-solving: Comfortable navigating unknowns (e.g., custom audio drivers).
- Ownership mindset: You thrive when leading ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives to built "from scratch" (0→1→scale).
- Bonus: Experience with speech technologies (STT/TTS), translation services, or real-time collaboration tools.
