At Sepulveda Sanchez Accident Lawyers, we deliver high-impact, client-focused legal representation across personal injury and family law. Headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Stockton and NYC, we represent individuals navigating some of the most traumatic and sensitive moments of their lives, from catastrophic injury claims to traditional car accidents and dog bites. Founded by attorney Gabriel Sepulveda Sanchez, our team blends tenacity in the courtroom with empathy at the client level, grounded in values of trust, transparency, and culturally competent advocacy. With a bilingual team and deep experience in both litigation and settlement strategy, we fight for outcomes that restore dignity and protect what matters most.
We are currently hiring a detail-driven, litigation-savvy Paralegal to support our growing trial practice. In this critical role, you will take charge of case organization, discovery coordination, court calendaring, and expert communications, all while helping our clients feel heard, cared for, and informed. Whether it is preparing trial exhibits, managing deposition schedules, or organizing thousands of medical records, you will serve as the organizational backbone of the litigation process. This position is ideal for a sharp, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make a difference in the lives of people who need it most.
What you’ll do:
- E-Filing and Legal Document Preparation: Accurately file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and trial materials in both federal and state courts. Ensure full compliance with local procedural rules and court deadlines to maintain case momentum and avoid delays.
- Case File Management and Technology Integration: Organize and maintain detailed case files using platforms such as CasePeer and Dropbox. Ensure all relevant documents, medical records, correspondence, and filings are updated, accessible, and systematically labeled.
- Litigation and Trial Support: Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including preparing exhibit lists, jury instructions, expert files, and trial binders. Coordinate the logistics of expert depositions, witness scheduling, and court submissions.
- Calendar Management and Case Coordination: Manage attorney and court calendars, including hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings. Track and confirm all litigation-related appointments, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Client and Provider Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and medical providers. Facilitate timely updates, treatment documentation, and ongoing communication to ensure both legal and medical needs are aligned and progressing.
- Expense Tracking and Legal Accounting Coordination: Partner with the accounting team to track and process case-related costs. Ensure accurate documentation of medical expenses, expert fees, and discovery costs for reimbursement and settlement preparation.
- Attorney Support During Trial: Provide real-time assistance in the courtroom by managing trial exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, and preparing last-minute materials. Maintain poise under pressure and ensure attorneys have what they need to advocate effectively.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 2-6 years of paralegal or litigation support experience, ideally within plaintiff-side personal injury law. Proven ability to handle discovery, court filings, and client communications in a high-volume legal environment.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred to support client needs across diverse communities.
- Education & Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field or a paralegal certificate is strongly preferred, along with a strong foundation in civil litigation procedures and legal terminology.
- Communication & Writing: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey legal concepts to clients, attorneys, and medical providers.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms, especially CasePeer, Dropbox, and related case management systems.
- Client-Centered Judgment: Brings high attention to detail, discretion, and emotional intelligence when supporting clients experiencing medical and emotional trauma.
- Work Ethic & Collaboration: Thrives in a fast-paced, office-based setting in either Los Angeles or Stockton. Shows adaptability, initiative, and strong personal accountability, with a genuine commitment to team success.
Why you should work here:
- Meaningful Impact: Play a direct role in helping clients overcome life-altering injuries and legal disputes; your precision and empathy shape case outcomes and client experiences.
- Collaborative Culture: Join a growing, mission-driven team that values transparency, shared ownership, and continuous improvement across all roles.
- Career Advancement: As the firm expands into new markets and adds practice areas, you’ll have real opportunities to grow your responsibilities, build new skills, and advance your legal career.
Additional perks:
- Location: Onsite position based at the firm’s offices in Los Angeles or Stockton, CA.
