Associate Quality Assurance Specialist

San Jose

A Associate QA reports to a QA Lead and works closely with the QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, project managers, designers, and developers to deliver QA standards and client satisfaction. The primary role of a Junior QA is to execute structured and well-defined tasks and provide execution of QA tasks with speed and great quality for the overall agility of the QA team. 


 

You will:

  • Responsible for completing day-to-day assigned tasks in a practical, timely, and communicative manner, following the established standards. 
  • Responsible for functional and non functional testing execution. 
  • Responsible for attending meetings providing status, taking notes and providing feedback when needed. 
  • He/She must work collaboratively with QA, development, and business groups to complete testing. 
  • Responsible for reporting and following up bug’s life cycle according with QA standards. 
  • Responsible of continuously growing his/her knowledge of QA field, project and automation tools. 
  • He/She must have a good understanding of the processes to determine when to raise flags and always be a gatekeeper of QA. 
  • Should be able to work with other team members to ensure the success of projects. 

 

You have: 

  • English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation).
  • 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance (web development)
  • Working experience with Javascript
  • Working experience with automation tools like AccelQ or another similar (Playwright, Cypress).
  • Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence. 
  • Basic knowledge with SQL (Azure)
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD
  • ISTQB Certification or another QA-related certification
  • Coursing (or completing) a bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
