Senior Copywriter
As a Senior Copywriter, you are a seasoned storyteller who loves to collaborate with creatives and strategists to bring a digital voice to life. Grasping communication challenges and devising imaginative solutions that are both brilliant and on-brand is what you do.
You have a copy editor’s eye for detail and a managing editor’s ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once. Skills like optimizing text through global/structural changes, line editing, and alignment with brand best practices are in your toolbox.
To demonstrate high-quality, insightful approaches with outstanding results, you pull from a wide variety of experiences on past projects. Copy is your comfort-zone, but you’ve got a well-rounded knowledge of the broader industry—social media, usability, online marketing, and traditional advertising. You’re also a dynamic leader who can be point on copy development for complex campaigns and be an inspiring mentor to junior copy staff.
You Will:
- Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
- Review copy (alongside design) to align with brand guidelines and optimize scanability, clarity, and succinctness.
- Provide guidance on creative revisions to up-level content within our client’s voice and tone.
- Work with cross-functional partners to drive consensus across teams and advocate for solutions that balance the needs of Campaign Owners (and the guests and hosts who will be receiving the comms) with our business goals.
- Work with design partners and CD to audit existing templates, guidelines, and select teams’ past comms. Create/revise/advise on new templates and guidelines as needed to empower our partners to better execute their email projects
You Have:
- 5+ years’ experience as a copywriter or editor in an agency, publishing, or journalism environment—including experience with interactive media and direct marketing.
- Ability to internalize and consistently adhere to internal brand guidelines
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to quickly review, edit, and QA a wide variety of comms.
- Proven aptitude for quick, creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
- A strong understanding of marketing (especially direct marketing) and advertising principles.
- The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $135,000 USD
