Strategy Intern

Critical Mass' Internship opportunities are part of our Trailhead Program and will provide a 12-week jump-start to your career. The program is a fast-track to launch your career through regular learning opportunities, mentorship, client work exposure, while also getting paid. We aim to show you all the amazing work we do here at Critical Mass, and to support you as part of the team! You will have the opportunity to try the digital agency world through multiple internship and client projects to see if it's for you! 

Our internship will run from May 26 – August 14. 


The Strategy Intern gain exposure and learning to see how the Strategy team is responsible for delivering and supporting all service areas within the department and across multiple projects. This position will provide opportunities to participate in consumer and industry research, user experience planning, business requirements documentation and, and web analytics.

 You Will:

  • Gain exposure and understanding to all different groups within the Strategy discipline at Critical Mass. 
  • Collaborate with other interns on a client and global intern project. 
  • Develop user journeys, creative briefs and other presentation deliverables in support of the intern project.
  • Perform research that supports client projects, online competitive and best practice analyses.
  • Find existing research related to specific industry verticals and companies.
  • Gather consumer insight via primary and secondary research
  • Provide assistance in the coordination, design and delivery of primary consumer research.
  • Communicate research findings to project team members and, potentially clients.
  • Create, distribute and present research overviews on customer experience topics or specific client industries.

You Have:

  • Currently in their second or third year of a four-year degree program, or in the first year of a two-year degree program. 
  • Completed coursework in statistical or behavioural analysis, eBusiness or marketing sciences.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and keynote. 
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining overall understanding of the big picture.
  • A personal interest and curiosity in social/cultural/technology trends.
  • A collaborative approach conducive to working in a cross-discipline team environment.

We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but aren’t limited to, a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position. For current CM employees, tenure will also be a consideration.

Salary Range

$40,000 - $40,000 CAD
