The Role: 

As an Account Executive II, your primary responsibilities will involve qualifying inbound leads, identifying new sales opportunities, and expanding our customer base within defined account profiles. Your role will include establishing relationships with customers, identifying potential upsell opportunities, and collaborating with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to contribute to Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies. Additionally, you will work closely with the Customer Success team to facilitate a smooth transition from sales closure to the implementation of Crunchbase Data and future products. Your collaborative efforts will extend to internal teams, including engineering and product departments, as you communicate customer issues and experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead Qualification and Sales Opportunities:

    • Assess inbound leads to pinpoint new sales possibilities within an established funnel of potential customers.
    • Engage in outbound prospecting  to expand the customer base according to target account profiles.
    • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas with the autonomy to approach these targets in a manner that best suits your strengths and strategies while aligning with the company's sales philosophy and processes.

Relationship Building and Account Development:

    • Cultivate enduring relationships with customers.
    • Identify potential upsell opportunities and contribute to the enhancement of existing accounts for broader multi-team licenses.

Collaboration and Strategy:

    • Collaborate with SDRs to contribute to ABM strategies for key target accounts.
    • Support a smooth hand-off from early qualification to closure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Customer Success team during the sales closure to implement Crunchbase data and future products.
    • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to relay customer issues and experiences.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Demonstrated consistency as a top performer closing Enterprise level deals in tech industry.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting to generate high-quality leads, with a strong potential for closing deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite and other software tools.
  • Experience with Drift, Crunchbase, outreach preferred but not required.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a SDR or AE role selling SaaS products to customers of varying sizes, ranging from SMB to enterprise.
  • Familiarity with data and APIs is beneficial.
  • Some experience collaborating with internal executives and cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary Range

$133,000 - $181,000 USD
