The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist at Crunchbase, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our business vision into tangible features and actionable insights through the power of data. Your contributions will significantly influence the user experience, restructuring how our users engage with and derive value from our products. You'll work at the intersection of data science and product development, turning raw data into meaningful insights that drive business success.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize your expertise to enhance and optimize the Crunchbase insights engine, turning raw data into meaningful and actionable insights
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to align data science efforts with business objectives and user needs
  • Engage in all aspects of the feature delivery cycle, from ideation to production, ensuring seamless integration of data-driven features into our products
  • Work closely with internal partners to gather and refine requirements for data-driven features
  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models that address user queries and business questions, such as predicting potential investors in a given company
  • Stay current with advancements in data science and machine learning to continuously improve model accuracy and relevance
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business problems and provide data-driven solutions
  • Communicate complex findings and insights in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues for effective collaboration
  • Proven ability to understand products and deliver impactful features to drive business success
  • Hands-on experience and expertise in Python coding
  • Familiarity with a range of analytics and big data tools (e.g., R, SQL, etc.)
  • Passion for identifying patterns in data, showcasing strong analytical skills
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite or related software

Salary Range

$170,000 - $190,000 USD
