Job Description

CSCI Consulting is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead complex financial initiatives and corrective action programs for a federal government client. This senior-level role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of large or highly complex projects, including team leadership, financial oversight, system planning, and stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will drive the successful execution of high-impact programs, such as the Corrective Action Plan Program and Program Management Planning and Execution. This role requires the ability to analyze intricate project challenges and develop innovative solutions involving schedules, technology, tools, methodology, and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of complex financial and corrective action initiatives across the program lifecycle
  • Manage a cross-functional team working on major program segments or entire large-scale federal projects
  • Direct the Corrective Action Plan Program, including planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting on remediation activities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive Program Management Planning and strategy
  • Analyze new and complex project-related problems and develop innovative, data-driven solutions that address technical, financial, and scheduling risks
  • Provide strategic guidance on application systems analysis, selection, and long- and short-term planning for systems development, maintenance, and resource support
  • Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder engagement to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and programmatic goals
  • Maintain regular communication with senior client leadership and program stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated success managing large or complex projects within a federal government or public sector environment
  • Senior-level experience in corrective action planning, financial compliance, and program execution
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of federal compliance frameworks, project planning tools, and financial reporting systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop solutions involving project technology, financial controls, and stakeholder coordination
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience with enterprise system modernization or large-scale corrective action programs
  • Familiarity with OMB guidance, federal audit practices, or government performance metrics
  • Knowledge of systems architecture, data governance, or financial systems integration
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a federal agency / state or local government agency
  • Department of Defense experience is a plus!
