
Technical Analyst
Job Description
CSCI Consulting is looking for a detail-oriented Technical Analyst to join our data and systems analytics team supporting a federal agency. In this role, you will analyze data processes, recommend tools for data collection and reporting, and support the automation of audit and payment integrity functions. You will work closely with program and technical stakeholders to improve data accuracy, streamline reporting, and strengthen the agency’s overall analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and document data collection, storage, and reporting processes to support the development of enterprise reports and analytics
- Identify appropriate data analysis and reporting tools to enhance OPAC’s analytics capabilities and support emerging reporting requirements
- Collect and integrate data from a variety of sources using diverse methods, including the use of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Perform data quality checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of datasets used in reporting and analysis
- Resolve issues related to data capture, processing, and reporting through collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams
- Provide support in developing strategic approaches to mature OPAC’s analytic capabilities and align them with program goals
- Deliver data-driven recommendations that inform leadership decision-making and improve reporting outcomes
- Offer subject-matter expertise on Single Audit and contribute to the development of audit-focused analyses and reports
- Support the automation of audit coordination, Single Audit resolution, and payment integrity management workflows
- Assist in identifying system gaps and inefficiencies, validating technical issues, and proposing practical resolutions
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal systems that support analytics, reporting, and audit tracking activities
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in technical analysis, data analytics, or systems support
- 3+ years of experience working with APIs and multiple data sources for collection and integration
- Strong data analysis skills with a focus on quality assurance and data validation
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
- Ability to assess existing technical processes and recommend enhancements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting federal programs or working in a government consulting environment
- Knowledge of federal audit frameworks, such as Single Audit or OMB Circular A-123
- Experience with system automation related to audit or risk functions
- Understanding of data governance, performance metrics, and compliance reporting
- Experience with federal data platforms or tools used in risk and payment integrity programs
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
