Job Description

CSCI Consulting is seeking a Data Integration & Interface Analyst to support its Department of War (DoW / DoD) client. This role is responsible for helping define, validate, test, and stabilize mission-critical data integrations across source systems, staging environments, transformation layers, and downstream reporting platforms.

Working closely with technical developers, ERP owners, finance stakeholders, data teams, and PMO resources, the Data Integration & Interface Analyst ensures data moves accurately, completely, and reliably across the implementation landscape. This position plays a key role in source-to-target validation, reconciliation activities, interface testing, cutover readiness, production stabilization, and issue resolution supporting federal financial reporting and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support definition of integration requirements, interface specifications, mapping rules, control points, and validation criteria for data movement across source and target systems
  • Assist in designing, testing, and validating batch interfaces, APIs, file-based integrations, and transformation jobs supporting OneStream and reporting platforms
  • Validate source-to-target data movement across source applications, staging environments, data warehouses, and reporting outputs
  • Perform reconciliation activities, including three-way reconciliations between source systems, transformed datasets, and downstream reports
  • Identify and troubleshoot interface failures, rejected records, mapping defects, schema issues, data quality problems, and processing exceptions
  • Coordinate with developers, system owners, and business stakeholders to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Validate reference data, master data, hierarchies, and key attributes required for accurate financial reporting and operational processing
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover validation, deployment readiness, and production monitoring activities
  • Maintain interface documentation, mapping specifications, reconciliation procedures, operational runbooks, and issue management records
  • Assist with post-production stabilization by triaging data integration issues and supporting restoration of reliable end-to-end data processing

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
  • 5+ years of experience supporting data integration, interface management, ETL processes, system remediation, or enterprise platform implementations
  • Experience working with source-to-target mapping, data transformation, interface controls, and reconciliation methodologies
  • Strong understanding of batch processing, file-based integrations, APIs, and data movement architectures
  • Ability to analyze data flows across multiple systems and identify root causes of data quality, transformation, and interface issues
  • Experience supporting testing activities including SIT, UAT, defect triage, regression testing, and production readiness validation
  • Familiarity with documentation standards, traceability requirements, change control, and implementation governance processes
  • Proficiency with SQL, data analysis tools, Microsoft Excel, and collaboration platforms used for implementation delivery
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting OneStream, ERP, financial management, budgeting, accounting, or enterprise performance management implementations
  • Familiarity with federal accounting structures, General Ledger (GL) concepts, Treasury reporting, GTAS, or government financial data flows
  • Experience supporting financial data interfaces, ERP feeder systems, historical and current-state data migration, or downstream reporting platforms
  • Knowledge of data validation, reconciliation frameworks, and automated controls used in compliance-driven environments
  • Experience supporting cutover planning, deployment readiness, and production stabilization efforts
  • Exposure to Advana integrations, financial reporting platforms, or enterprise analytics environments
  • Experience with Azure, SQL Server, ETL platforms, Power BI, or enterprise data integration technologies
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Department of War experience is a plus!
