We are looking for a talented and driven Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis and programming. Additionally, experience with big data technologies and pipelines will be a significant advantage. The Data Scientist will lead and conduct end-to-end data science projects, analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and collaborate with software engineers to integrate solutions into existing systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Develop and optimize algorithms and models for various data-driven applications.
- Utilize Python and SQL to extract, clean, and analyze data.
- Create and maintain Jupyter notebooks for documentation and analysis purposes.
- Create new analyses and build ML models to derive actionable insights from data.
- Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to deploy data solutions into production.
- Communicate findings and present actionable recommendations to internal teams and customers.
Requirements
Necessary Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Extensive experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance post-start date.
- U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to travel
Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with data science tools in cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of data architectures, and/or metadata management and data discoverability.
- Experience collecting and analyzing sensor data (IoT)
- Subject Matter Expertise in RF, EW, PAI, UTS, or CTD data and their applications.
- Understanding of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Apache Superset).
