Job Title: Senior Quality Associate
Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Shifts: Monday-Friday 7am - 3:30 pm
Starying Pay Rate: $21.75
Location: Mt. Dora, FL
Who You Are:
As the Senior Quality Associate, you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a meticulous eye for detail. You’re a strong collaborator who’s passionate about product safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. You understand the importance of consistency and know how to uphold the highest standards for product quality while keeping operations running smoothly. You love digging into SOPs, solving problems, and making sure everything is done right—the first time.
What You’ll Do:
As our Senior Quality Associate, you will:
- Support daily Quality operations while ensuring compliance with Curaleaf policies, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform inspections, document reviews, and audits across all stages of production—from raw materials and labels to final product batch records and COAs.
- Ensure product and environmental safety through proper sanitation, line clearances, and equipment calibrations.
- Collaborate with site and regional teams to review and improve batch records, COAs, and product quality documentation.
- Conduct root cause investigations for deviations and complaints, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee the collection and submission of product samples for third-party testing.
- Facilitate GXP training and support local implementation of the Quality Management System.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement in everything you do.
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within a regulated environment (cannabis, food, pharma, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cGMPs and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with calibration and maintenance of lab equipment (scales, pH meters, pipettes, etc.).
- Experience working with quality documentation, batch records, and audits.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a commitment to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and independently in a high-growth environment.
- Must meet background check requirements as mandated by state cannabis regulations.
Even Better If:
- You have a degree in a science-related field.
- You bring advanced Excel or data analysis skills to the table.
- You’ve worked in food or pharma manufacturing and understand traceability, root cause investigations, and compliance reporting.
- You’re proactive, solutions-oriented, and confident in driving continuous quality improvements.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an environment that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to see and interpret visual information, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be comfortable working in a production setting that includes exposure to loud noise, CO₂, and plant material.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided, including but not limited to: lab coats, gloves, hairnets, safety glasses, face masks, and in some areas, full Tyvek suits and respirators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment where priorities can shift quickly and teamwork is essential.
- Must be able to work in various areas of the facility, including but not limited to: post-harvest, packaging, and lab areas, which may have different environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, airflow).
