Area Manager

Western Pennsylvania (Brookville, State College, Dubois, Greensburg, Erie, Gettysburg, York, Lebanon, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Altoona)
Travel:
This role supports up to 11 Pennsylvania retail locations. Weekly in‑market travel to these stores is required.
Candidates must be able to commute within the Central and Western PA markets multiple times per week. Regular long-distance driving between stores is a core responsibility of this position.

Who You Are: 

As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing talent across multiple locations to build consistency across the brand. You will coach, motivate, navigate, and serve as a sounding board for Store Managers, business partners, and sales drivers. Your responsibilities will include building the retail business strategy and setting direction for the store teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategies that leverage talent to provide positive financial results.
  • Lead organizational change by assessing current operational status and creating/implementing improvements to meet the needs of the business.
  • Focus on P&L by monitoring, recording, and directing revenue and spending across multiple locations.
  • Coach store teams to develop and maintain operational best practices in areas of inventory control, store presentation, and asset protection.
  • Create and maintain high standards for the guest journey and train team members on how to provide the best experience for our guests.
  • Analyze and observe guest experience/feedback to create opportunities for process improvement.
  • Retain and develop top talent across multiple locations.
  • Provide leadership to the assigned region and mentor all store-level leadership teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the store region; design and implement training, policies, goals, and other resources to maximize productivity and morale.
  • Maintain knowledge of market, competition, and best practices and trends in sales techniques and strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze business trends across all stores within the area.
  • Attend and participate in sales and management training meetings and events as directed by management.
  • Adhere to state regulations.
  • Flexibility and availability regarding scheduling-must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Open availability to meet business needs is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of your week, including overnight stays, to visit stores within the market, attend regional meetings and conferences, or for other business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Retail Leadership Expertise: 4+ years of retail management experience with a strong foundation in store operations, sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Multi-Unit Oversight: 2+ years of experience managing multiple locations, driving operational consistency, performance, and execution across stores.
  • High-Volume Store Experience: Proven success leading a high-volume store generating $9M+ in annual revenue, with accountability for sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • People Leadership & Development: 4+ years of experience building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, with a track record of improving engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Results-Driven Operator: Demonstrated ability to maximize sales, achieve business objectives, and drive KPIs across an assigned area.
  • Strategic & Big-Picture Thinking: Ability to identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and drive revenue growth while enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Feedback & Leadership Agility: Comfortable managing up, giving and receiving feedback, and fostering a culture of openness and accountability.
  • Change Leadership: Ability to lead and socialize organizational change, driving alignment, accountability, and adoption across teams.
  • Talent Management: Skilled in identifying, developing, and retaining top talent, while effectively coaching and improving underperformance.
  • Analytical & Systems Savvy: Proficient in navigating complex systems, analyzing financial and operational reports, and translating insights into action.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and supply chain principles, with the ability to connect these functions to drive overall business success.
