Senior Account Executive, EMEA

EMEA Remote

đź‘‹ Hello from the Recruiting Team at Customer.io!

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive who is excited to join a company at an incredible inflection point. Customer.io recently crossed $100M in ARR, a milestone that reflects years of sustainable growth and an incredible customer base. As we look ahead, our focus is shifting from pure scale to intentional, quality growth — doubling down on the people, processes, and customer partnerships that got us here.

Our EMEA sales team has consistently exceeded quota, setting the standard for what great execution looks like at Customer.io. If you thrive in a high-performing, collaborative environment and want to be part of a team that’s truly raising the bar, we’d love to meet you.

This is a full-cycle sales role (prospect, demo, close). In addition to sourcing opportunities (with the support of a dedicated Sr. SDR), you'll be fielding qualified inbound demand that comes through marketing activity.

About Customer.io

Over 8,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

Some things you'll do...

  • Take over qualified leads from our outbound and inbound sales teams; run discovery calls (qualifying through MEDDPICC) and full sale-cycle to close customers
  • Work closely with a dedicated Sr. SDR, reviewing account targeting, sales strategy, and prospecting progress to assist in scheduling new meetings with key brands within our ICP
  • Schedule and perform online demos with qualified prospects
  • Uncover key business needs and problems, match Customer.io's solutions and features
  • Own your key numbers! Report present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, and administrative commitments for management
  • Fill your pipeline through self-sourcing as needed in order to have an adequate path to quota attainment
  • Explain and demonstrate the features and merits of our products and services through value-based selling

About you

  • Top performer for 3-5 years in a Senior Account Executive role (or similar), within the B2B Saas environment
  • Special consideration may be given to candidates with experience selling Marketing Technology products
  • Proven track record of quota and goal achievement
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar sales framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as a professional and engaging phone presence
  • Ability to identify customer business needs in order to recommend relevant solutions
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • You're a creative problem solver who can understand the customer problem and find the best solution regardless of what the customer is asking for

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $130,000 base + $130,000 Variable = $260,000 OTE USD (or equivalent in local currency), depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
