Trenching Installer

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Drilling and Trenching teams, with a primary focus on assisting in drilling, trenching, and grouting operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge geothermal drilling technologies while contributing to Dandelion Energy’s renewable energy projects. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the installation process and ensuring efficient, safe operations.

This role is based out of Peekskill, NY, and candidates must live within 40 minutes of our Peekskill branch. The position requires the ability and flexibility to travel throughout the Northeast, sometimes on short notice, to meet project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Grout geothermal boreholes and assist in grouting operations

Support trenching operations, including excavating and installing HDPE pipes and fittings

Assist Senior Driller with drilling operations, including handling drill pipe, casing, and auxiliary equipment

Assist with setup for pre drilling inspections

Drive company vehicles, including trailers and large trucks, to and from job sites

Ensure that equipment and work sites are clean, organized, and maintained

Perform routine maintenance tasks and stock inventories as needed

Follow all safety protocols and quality regulations

Restore landscapes to rough grade following excavation

Provide secondary support to heat pump installations when required

Travel throughout the Northeast as needed, sometimes on short notice

About You:

Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

Must live within 40 minutes of our Peekskill branch

Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Northeast region

Experience driving trailers and large trucks; CDL license is a plus

Experience with drilling, trenching, heavy equipment, and excavation is preferred

Comfortable working outdoors and engaging in physically demanding tasks

Ability to lift weights of 50-100 lbs overhead

Mechanical, rigging, and welding skills are a plus but not required

Eager to build a career in renewable energy and drilling operations

Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
