About the Role:

Dashlane is currently looking for an experienced, hands-on Staff Accountant to support the French operations. As our Staff Accountant, reporting into the Lead Accountant for France, you will support all day-to-day accounting operations for the French entity, including General Ledger, Month End Closing, Invoicing and Accounts Receivable, VAT, Accounts Payable, T&E, Bank Account Reconciliations, Prepaid, and Fixed Assets, while ensuring compliance with USA GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements, internal financial policies and procedures.  You will also collaborate closely with the external firm we use to prepare and file statutory accounts, as well as with our French auditor (commissaire aux comptes).


You will support the Global Controller on special projects and will interface and collaborate directly with other team members and external stakeholders to advance organizational goals, while supporting appropriate internal controls and ensuring the integrity of the accounting and financial data.
 
Location-specific information:
You will be based in Paris, with English and French as your working languages. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the companywide day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, Thursday - a department day for in-office team bonding, and a third in-office day of your choice. 
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Support the month-end close process for the French entity while working in collaboration with the SAS Lead Accountant and the rest of the team, resolving tasks and accounting matters.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations (bank account, fixed assets, other balance sheet accounts) for month-end closing.
  • Manage AP function, process vendor and supplier bills, credit card and other bank transactions by supporting necessary GL recording, approvals, and payments.
  • Be involved with accounting of B2B operations (namely, invoicing and AR collections).
  • Manage travel and other reimbursable expenses and compliance with T&E policy.
  • Support local accounting book requirements.
  • Support tax and VAT compliance and filings.
  • Work with the SAS Lead Accountant and team members in the completion of the annual US GAAP financial audit and any other accounting and tax projects.
  • Support the completion and filing of the annual French Statutory Audit (working in collaboration with our local accounting and audit firms).
 
Requirements: 
  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting and tax experience 
  • Strong USA GAAP and French Statutory accounting
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Experience with Netsuite or other large ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills
