About the Opportunity:
People Operations Coordinator | $60-65k
David Zwirner is in search of a People Operations Coordinator to work within our People Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher and have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related human resources function. This role demands exceptional organizational capabilities, a strategic mindset for managing multiple projects, and a keen eye for detail, all while fostering a collaborative environment that upholds our high standards.
What you’ll do:
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with recruitment as assigned.
- Provide support with benefits and COBRA administration, managing paid leave and workers’ compensation claims, and helping with employee perks management. Act as liaison between staff and insurance providers.
- Respond to employee inquiries about PTO, benefits, and company policies.
- Maintain internal records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure accurate employee records are maintained and secured across all platforms.
- Prepare correspondence as required, such as verification of employment letters and unemployment claims.
- Assist with HRIS updates and reporting, timekeeping, and paid time off management; liaise between staff and payroll provider.
- Handle the management of departmental expenses.
- Communicate with vendors and assist in planning department events and staff engagement.
- Schedule meetings and interviews, as requested.
- Support the People Operations team in tasks and projects as needed.
What we would like you to have:
- Bachelors degree
- 1-3 years of Human Resources or related experience, preferably in the gallery, museum, or similarly creative organization
- Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and solutions-focused approach
- Capable of working flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to discretion and the ability to keep sensitive details confidential
