As a Staff Product Marketing Manager - Enterprise Solutions at dbt Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the market perception of dbt—the industry standard that helps organizations build, manage, and analyze data at scale. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to position dbt as an enterprise solution that solves the most pressing strategic initiatives for our enterprise customers and prospects. This role is ideal for someone who’s as comfortable digging into the details of dbt features and our users’ needs as they are with telling a big-picture story about where our platform and industry are headed.
Product Marketing at dbt Labs is highly strategic and cross-functional, collaborating across product, marketing, GTM, customer success, and executive teams to shape the direction of our go-to-market strategy and deliver customer impact. What you’ll do:
Own strategic messaging, positioning & differentiation
- Create clarity of ownership and execution across use case solutions messaging, persona strategy, enterprise sales plays, and enablement content
- Build narratives and market-facing content that clearly communicate the business value of dbt to executive buyers and mid-level technical champions
- Own positioning, messaging, and value propositions for our platform and key solutions across use cases and industries
- Bring market, customer, and competitive insights back to product, pricing, and packaging decisions, ensuring roadmap prioritization reflects real buyer needs
Drive cross-functional go-to-market success
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, field-ready narratives that drive adoption and pipeline from initial awareness to final decision
- Partner with demand gen and campaign teams to build campaign strategy and align launch tactics with pipeline goals and buyer journey gaps; measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Package strategic sales plays into end-to-end GTM kits: pitch decks, demo flows, discovery guides and objection handling, short- and long-form content, customer testimonials, and competitive positioning
- Partner closely with sales enablement to ensure high adoption and measurable impact
- Serve as a visible, trusted leader across sales, product, and marketing, representing the voice of product marketing in key internal and customer-facing forums
You’re a good fit if you have:
- 6+ years of experience in product or solutions marketing, preferably within the data analytics domain.
- A proven track record of developing and executing successful sales plays and marketing campaigns for B2B software products.
- Strong understanding of the data analytics industry and its challenges, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent and passion for storytelling.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong leadership and collaborative abilities.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
You'll have an edge if you have:
- Prior experience working at a data analytics and/or open source software company
- Experience with value selling frameworks such as Command of the Message
- Familiarity with the modern analytics stack, and a strong grasp of market dynamics within it
- Experience as an end-user of dbt, and/or experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or data scientist
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary: $175,000 - $240,000 USD
