Le poste

Les postes de Master Student Researcher (Étudiant chercheur de niveau Master) chez Google DeepMind favorisent les collaborations académiques en recrutant des étudiants pour des projets de recherche alignés sur les priorités de l'entreprise en matière de progrès scientifique. Ce programme propose des stages au sein des équipes de recherche de l'unité Frontier AI chez Google DeepMind. En tant qu'étudiant chercheur, vous aurez l'opportunité de participer à des projets de recherche axés sur le développement de solutions pour des problèmes concrets à grande échelle.

Ces projets sont des expériences exploratoires et pratiques qui stimulent le progrès scientifique dans divers domaines de recherche axés sur le développement de la prochaine génération d'algorithmes d'IA. Les étudiants travailleront en collaboration avec nos scientifiques sur des projets explorant des défis de recherche innovants et soutiendront la création de technologies de rupture.

Les projets durent 6 mois et débuteront au printemps 2026. Les étudiants seront basés dans les bureaux de Google DeepMind à Paris ou à Grenoble. Ces expériences de recherche pourraient potentiellement (mais pas automatiquement) déboucher sur des postes de doctorat en co-encadrement entre Google DeepMind et des institutions académiques françaises.

Votre profil

Afin de vous donner toutes les chances de réussir chez Google DeepMind, nous recherchons les compétences et l'expérience suivantes :

• Actuellement inscrit(e) en Master en informatique, statistiques, mathématiques appliquées, recherche opérationnelle ou dans un domaine technique connexe.
• Expérience dans un de ces domaine de l'informatique (ex : compréhension du langage naturel, interaction homme-machine, vision par ordinateur, apprentissage automatique (ML), deep learning, fondements algorithmiques de l'optimisation, science de l'information quantique, science des données, génie logiciel ou domaines similaires).
• Solides connaissances des méthodes d'apprentissage automatique et des algorithmes d'IA actuels de pointe.
• Expérience avec un ou plusieurs langages de programmation polyvalents (ex : Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.).

Qualifications souhaitées :

• Expérience en tant que chercheur, incluant des stages, des emplois à plein temps ou du travail en laboratoire.
• Expérience au sein de communautés ou d'initiatives de recherche, y compris la publication d'articles dans des conférences ou revues majeures.
• Solides compétences en programmation Python et expérience avec des bibliothèques ML telles que JAX, PyTorch, ou scikit-learn.

The Role

Master level Student Researcher positions at Google DeepMind foster academic collaborations by hiring students onto research projects aligned to company priorities in scientific advancement. This program offers placements within research teams of the Frontier AI Unit at Google Deepmind. As a Student Researcher, you will have the opportunity to participate in research projects focused on developing solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.

Student Researcher projects are exploratory and hands-on experiences that drive scientific advancement across various research areas focused on the development of the next generation of AI algorithms. Students will work collaboratively on projects that explore innovative research challenges and support the creation of breakthrough technologies.

Project durations are 6 months long and will start in the Spring 2026. Students will be based in Google DeepMind offices in Paris or Grenoble. These student research experiences could potentially (but not automatically) lead to co-advised PhD positions between Google DeepMind and French academic institutions.

About You

In order to set you up for success at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related technical field.
• Experience in one area of computer science (e.g. Natural Language Understanding, Human Computer Interactions, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas).
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning methods and current State of the Art AI algorithms.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience as a researcher, including internships, full-time, or at a lab.
• Experience contributing to research communities or efforts, including publishing papers in major conferences or journals.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries such as JAX, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
