Special Assistant to the Chief Schools Officer

- An excellent written and verbal communicator with initiative and a keen attention to detail.
- A graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program (required), with prior experience in a charter school environment (preferred).
What You’ll Do
- Act as a liaison between the Chief Schools Officer (CSO) and other network teams.
- Aid in creating, coordinating and managing administrative tasks for the CSO, including coordinating the CSO’s calendar (including daily/weekly schedules).
- Handle logistical aspects of meetings and professional development sessions for Democracy Prep, as per the Chief Schools Officer.
- Support the Talent Development Team in the coordination and schedule of Democracy Prep’s semiannual School Review Process.
- Provide general administrative support to Democracy Prep staff when working with the CSO (taking meeting minutes, coordinating staff meetings, ordering, handling mass mailings, etc.).
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the CSO.
Compensation
Salary range for this position is $50,000 to $58,000 and commensurate with your experience. This is a non-exempt position. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403b retirement matching, parental leave, a smartphone, and a laptop.
