Senior, Creative Strategy
WHY DEPT®?
We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.
We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.
At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.
THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a Senior Creative Strategist who is a compelling storyteller and sharp strategic thinker—someone who can translate insights into clear, emotionally resonant narratives that drive creative direction and business impact.
You think big, but you understand how ideas come to life within paid media environments. You’re confident presenting to clients and internal teams, able to communicate strategy with clarity, charisma, and conviction. You enjoy collaborating closely with other strategists and cross-functional partners to build strong, insight-driven creative platforms.
You have strong data fluency and are comfortable navigating large, complex datasets and translating ambiguity into clarity. You can distinguish meaningful signal from background noise and connect quantitative insights to human behavior to shape creative direction. You are adept at investigating and analyzing performance metrics, asking the right analytical questions, and synthesizing findings into clear, actionable narratives that inform strategy and inspire creative teams.
You’re comfortable working in ambiguity, connecting dots across audience behavior, culture, and performance signals to shape strategy that is both inspiring and executable. You bring strong writing and presentation skills, and you take pride in the craft of storytelling.
This role sits at the intersection of insight, creativity, and execution. You balance analytical rigor with creative intuition, ensuring ideas are both data-informed and culturally resonant. You’ll partner closely with both creative strategy and cross-functional teams to elevate thinking and deliver work that performs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Translate research, data, and platform knowledge into clear, actionable insights that will inform briefs and messaging frameworks.
- Craft compelling narratives that guide creative ideation and align with business goals.
- Present strategic thinking confidently to clients and internal teams.
- Ensure ideas are both big-picture and executable within paid media channels.
- Present learnings and actionable insights that elevate creative direction.
Data-Backed Insights & Learnings
- Analyze multi-channel performance data to uncover trends, audience insights, and growth opportunities.
- Build clear, compelling data visualizations (dashboards, reports, presentations) that make complex findings accessible to cross-functional teams and clients.
- Develop insight-driven narratives that connect business objectives, audience behavior, and creative strategy into a cohesive story.
- Identify testing opportunities, design measurement frameworks, and translate results into optimization roadmaps that improve performance over time.
Collaboration & Execution
- Partner with Creative Strategy Director and fellow strategists to build and refine strategy.
- Collaborate with Analytics, Media, and Creative teams to ensure strategy is grounded in proof and feasibility.
- Support creative ideation by connecting concepts back to audience insight and intent.
- Contribute to testing roadmaps and learning agendas through a creative lens.
- Participate in brainstorms and workshops, helping shape ideas that ladder to strategy.
Craft & Growth
- Stay curious about emerging cultural trends, storytelling formats, and digital platforms.
- Continuously refine storytelling, writing, and presentation craft.
- Apply learnings from campaign performance to inform future strategy.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 3+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, content/comms strategy, or performance marketing.
- Strong storytelling ability with excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Confidence and presence when presenting strategy to clients and teams.
- Data fluency to uncover innovative creative insights that put data are the forefront of creative decision-making.
