eCommerce Operations Manager, 3 month FTC (div/f/m)

This is a 3 month fixed term employee contract initially, with potential to extend.

This role is part of our eBay x Tise Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT® but embedded within eBay x Tise.

JOB PURPOSE

The Operations Manager at Tise is a key role responsible for building and overseeing end-to-end eCommerce operations to support the launch in Germany. You will lead the setup and execution of processes across inventory sourcing, listing, and fulfilment, ensuring a functional and efficient operation from day one.

In addition to managing digital and manual operations, you will take a hands-on approach to inventory sourcing, including in-field sourcing of vintage clothing from local shops and suppliers in Berlin.

You have experience with eCommerce operations and have a proactive mindset and a proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments. Acting as the point of contact for marketplace operations, you will drive performance, maintain high quality standards, and play a critical role in establishing Tise’s success in a new market.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead the setup and day-to-day management of Tise’s operations in the German market
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inventory sourcing and listing operations
  • Oversee the end-to-end process including sourcing, purchasing, pricing, photography, listing, and fulfilment
  • Manage high-volume listing operations across marketplace platforms
  • Implement and adapt existing Tise operational processes to suit the new market
  • Manage and support a team of Sourcing & Listing Operators, ensuring quality and efficiency
  • Monitor performance, maintain QA standards, and ensure delivery of high-volume listings

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 3+ years’ experience in eCommerce or marketplace operations, or a similar role
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end online operations (listings, inventory, fulfilment)
  • Experience with marketplace platforms (e.g. eBay, resale platforms, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale operational processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing junior team members is considered a plus
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, pricing, and order workflows
  • Experience working with operational tools and systems
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and improving performance
  • Comfortable managing budgets, expenses, and payment processes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with logistics, customer support, and commercial teams
  • Proficiency in both German and English languages
