Account Supervisor, Corporate
We are seeking an Account Supervisor with excepional communications skills and a strong background in executive visibility and internal communications to to join the New York office (hybrid). The ideal candidate will bring strong client relationship skills, a journalistic mindset, deep media relationships, and project management expertise.
What you'll do:
- Serve as a key day-to-day client contact
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of client’s business and industry
- Develop long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Contribute to the development of strategic client plans
- Provide client counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans
- Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
- Lead team in development of quarterly reports
Executive Visibility
- Identify compelling company programs and campaigns mapped against relevant awards and entry categories
- Identify thought leadership and executive visibility opportunities for key leaders
- Support internal and external speaking engagements and media opportunities for key executives
- Develop and provide briefings prior to speaking engagements and media interviews
Internal Communications
- Counsel clients through organizational changes
- Support day-to-day needs for internal comms programming (drafting newsletters, town hall preparations/drafting materials, etc.)
Media
- Direct client editorial programs, with a focus on national business media and trade media
- Know the industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client
- Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of relevant client media
- Evolve relationships with corporate media staying on top of developments in newsrooms, news organizations and new media
- Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
- Pitch media persuasively and make pitch recommendations
- Write and/or edit media relations materials
- Qualify media inquiries
- Direct and supervise the logistics of events (e.g.: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)
- Supervise media list development
Writing
- Develop proposals, client presentations, press releases, bylined articles, awards submissions, briefing documents and other materials
- Account for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports and client materials
- Instruct staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary
Team Management
- Oversee 2-3 team members on day-to-day tasks
- Develop work plan of junior team members
- Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations

- Bachelor’s Degree

- 5+ years related professional experience

Salary range: 90,000-120,000

Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; market considerations; budgetary considerations; as well as a candidate’s background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
