High-Level Project Summary/Intro: 

Support TSA's IT systems and mission-critical systems through operations support, technology innovation, management services, system maintenance, and the development and implementation of new software solutions

What You'll Be Doing:

Specific Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
• Work on RHEL 7.x/8.x and perform system administration, which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators, fostering their professional growth.
• Perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable, Hp WebInspect, and others
• Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; create mitigation plans and implement both proactive and retrospective solutions

Requirements: 
• Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered
• An active Security clearance is required. This individual will be responsible for the daily operation of mission critical systems on a 24x7x365 workday basis. Shift work will be required
• 7 or more years of experience in a RHEL Senior Engineer role or in a related field
• 7 or more years of experience in the following:
o RHEL 6.x/7.x
