Position Overview
Diligent is looking for a talented and strategic Senior Analyst to join as a key member of the Corporate Development team. This role will participate in all parts of the acquisition, investment, and strategy lifecycle, including transaction origination, market research, due diligence, transaction structuring, and financial analysis (among other activities). Diligent is an active acquirer, and this is an opportunity to be a key stakeholder in the M&A program of a SaaS industry leader. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, this role will require you to work closely with business leaders across functions and will include significant exposure to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Research strategic / adjacent markets and support coverage activities
- Identify logical acquisition candidates and conduct target outreach
- Build and foster conviction in strategic rationale / investment theses
- Lead financial modelling and valuation analyses
- Conduct business due diligence and coordinate third-party workstreams
- Support successful transaction execution and integration activities
- Develop ad-hoc research and analysis on various company strategic initiatives
Required Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years of M&A experience (Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity or Venture Capital)
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Financial modeling expertise
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Developed presentation skills and comfort with executive audience
- Knowledge of SaaS business model and software
FLSA: Exempt
U.S pay range
$100,000 - $145,000 USD
