Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Communications Director to lead strategic communications initiatives during a fixed-term contract through March 2026. This role is pivotal in developing and executing impactful public relations and communications campaigns that elevate Diligent’s brand, engage key audiences, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement an integrated marketing communications strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of campaigns, including product launches, thought leadership initiatives, and corporate announcements.
  • Media Relations:
    • Manage our global PR agency of record, including supporting with media inquiries and interview requests across our global markets.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends affecting our customers and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • Content Development:
    • Create high-quality, engaging content, including press releases, blog posts/Q&As, and other media materials.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft thought leadership pieces that position Diligent as a market leader.
  • Brand Management:
    • Maintain and enhance Diligent’s brand reputation by delivering cohesive messaging that resonates with diverse stakeholders.
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across marketing materials and communications.
  • Performance Analytics:
    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications efforts, leveraging data to refine strategies and improve ROI.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on performance and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • 8 – 10 + years of experience in marketing communications, with a proven track record of leading successful campaigns in a B2B or SaaS environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing media relations and working with external PR agencies.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and analytics platforms to measure performance and derive insights.
