About the position:

We’re looking for a UI developer with experience delivering web-based user interfaces and related software. As a UI Software Engineer on the Federal team, you will work closely with Ditto engineers to develop high-quality software products that support our clients’ critical missions.

As a UI Software Engineer, you will:

  • Write code to create a web UI which runs on embedded devices and provides a data-rich user interface to any web browser.
  • Continually improve usability of Ditto software and user interfaces.
  • Triage issues, perform root cause analyses and document paths to resolution
  • Occasional travel (<20%) to support our defense department clients at field exercises and real-world deployments.

What you’ll need:

  • Front-end web UI experience, preferably 3+ years working with programming languages such as Typescript, Javascript, Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go.
  • Proficiency in at least one strongly-typed programming language.
  • Proficiency in React or similar UI framework. 
  • Experience with modern engineering practices including source control and agile development teams.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain security clearance

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Mapping, WebGL, Geoscience, or Map-based UIs.
  • Experience with command & control (C2) systems or telemetry viewers.
  • Experience with Rust programming language or integrating with Rust-based backend services.
  • Familiarity with Axum, Vite, React, MUI.
  • Interest / experience with unmanned vehicles, UxVs and autonomous systems.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices
  • Experience with Git
  • Other backend, data science, SRE, or devops skills.
  • Experience with container technology including Kubernetes and Docker
