Responsibilities
Relationships between electrical and electronic circuitry, as well as the interrelationship of chemical, radiological, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, or gas components of a piece of equipment or a system.
Principles and theories governing the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and repair and test such electrical equipment as sterilizers, film driers, suction apparatus, and dental units.
Hydraulic systems, including their grips, locks, stops, and release mechanisms, can determine proper adjustment with no leaks.
Electronic symbols, color codes, descriptions, and manufacturers' numbers.
Electronic test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, patient simulators, electrical safety analyzers, and other specialized medical Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
Equipment such as micrometers and calipers to detect wear and misalignment of gears, cams, valves, and other mechanical parts, and the ability to use seat wrenches and pressure gauges when working on hydraulic systems.
Authorized Army Automation Systems, which include, but are not limited to, the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Global Combat Support System (GCSS), and other systems that are specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D.
Repair medical equipment such as sterilizers, X-ray tables, operating tables, pressure breathing therapy units, respirators, and other mechanical assemblies using gears, shafts, and pulleys.
Select proper replacement parts, modification kits, and identify materials, mechanisms, and components of electrical systems.
Complete electrical test with equipment such as ohmmeters and test meters.
Interpret and apply blueprints, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, liquid/air flow sheets, technical manuals, and other specifications.
Assure that any person who works on any medical, dental, and diagnostic imaging system is proficient and thoroughly competent to perform work in Biomedical Equipment Technology maintenance.
Perform maintenance cycles on Medical Equipment Sets that are returning from deployments, to include all maintenance actions: Technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment.
Complete maintenance actions within a reasonable performance time. Maintenance actions include, but are not limited to, technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
As a minimum, BMETs shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology.
Minimum three (3) or more years of experience as a BMET.
A background check will be conducted.
Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CAC.
Possess the ability to pass a NCIC investigation and scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements.
Must be a US citizen.

Experience with the Department of Defense
Must possess knowledge of maintenance actions: technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment.

Overview
Support our government customers with artificial and machine learning project planning and execution for automated combat casualty care and clinical decision support. The candidate will analyze functional requirements from an engineering perspective and apply automated reasoning techniques to allow a computer system to draw conclusions from knowledge represented in a machine-interpretable form.
Responsibilities
Perform as a Principal Investigator for medical research.
Work with a team to design computer software that performs knowledge representation and machine-interpretable reasoning.
Work with knowledge bases to develop database schemas and to store computational models.
Performs market research into the integration of machine learning engineering with autonomous devices (robotics) for integration into military medical battlefield systems.
Research and prototype combat casualty care solutions in the multi-domain battlefield.
The ability to work with a diverse group of software developers, nurses, and combat medics working in geographically different locations.
The ability to understand how different systems or portions of systems can work together and share data, implement and design the architecture of the project, and when necessary, clearly document ideas and plans.
The ability to present information to audiences from varying backgrounds using verbal and written means.
Consult as a subject matter expert on other related research efforts within the organization that require artificial and machine learning expertise.
Qualifications
Master’s degree (Computer Science or related field)
Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain
Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in knowledge representation and ontologies, AI/ML programming, and computer science.
Demonstrated success in design, development, and implementation of AI/machine learning capabilities, preferably in the emergency medicine domain.
Experience with any of the following:
AI/ML Frameworks – HuggingFace, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, Prophet
Data & Cloud Platforms – AWS, GCP, Azure, Palantir Foundry, SQL, NoSQL

Overview
The Desktop Technician will be providing hardware and software support to a diversified staff and end user population. Experience supporting both the Mac and Windows OS. Strong customer service and communication skills are key as this role involves heavy face to face customer support.
Responsibilities
Configuring, installing, and supporting desktops, laptops, handheld devices, printers, monitors, portable data storage devices, and other peripherals.
Providing enhanced VIP desktop and user support service.
Configuring IT devices for secure operation, including installation of security software, software updates, and other configurations as required.
Providing software support for users of NIH-provided applications (as identified by the task).
Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed.
Using an IT ticket system, responsible for receiving and tracking the trouble tickets, assign them to a technical specialist for action and ensures that their tickets are resolved, and closing out with the customer and in the system.
Qualifications
Bachelors and 2 years or Associates degree and 4+ years of technical support
Experience in current desktop and laptop computers.
Experience supporting various operating systems – expertise should include Windows 10 and 11; macOS (ideally 14 or higher).- 3+ years of technical support experience in Microsoft suite.
Experience using ticketing system (preferably Service Now).
Strong customer service and end user equipment support skills; preferably with some experience support VIPs (MUST).
Strong written and oral communications required.
Ability to gain and/or maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting the National Institute of Health
Bachelor’s degree preferred; ideally in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Social Science
Experience with Active Directory
Experience with Mobile Device Management (such as MobileIron or Ivanti)
