Responsibilities
- Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs of Depot Level Repairables (DLR), L3Harris Public Safety and Motorola mobile and portable communication systems.
- Provide technical support to resolve Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREP’s)
- Assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair Parts
- Assist with repair demand planning for Radio Program
- Provide onsite technical assistance/support to fleet activities, as needed
- Provide fleet helpdesk support and serve as a technical liaison between the fleet and NAVSUP PBLO command, as needed
- Ensure compliance with Allowance Parts Lists
- Perform Beyond Economical Repair Analyses on Depot Level Repairables (DLR) material returned from fleet
- Possess working knowledge of Power Amplifiers, Repeaters, and Communications Systems
- Input daily repair log information using CMPro
- Demonstrate expert experience using electronic test equipment such as (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)
- Conduct component level repair of radio system PCB assemblies, to include soldering.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
- Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
- Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
- Active Secret clearance walking through the door
