Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics models, visualizations, and analysis tools using Python, R, and Visual Basic.
- Perform statistical analyses of genomic, transcriptomic, and clinical datasets using R, RStudio, and Python-based libraries.
- Build and deploy interactive data visualization tools and dashboards using Shiny (R and/or Python).
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions, including chatbot development, to assist in scientific data analysis and interpretation.
- Collaborate with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists to translate research questions into analytical workflows.
- Maintain software documentation, version control, and reproducibility best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest bioinformatics methods, tools, and AI technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years' experience solving problems using analytical methods.
- Strong programming experience in Python, R, RStudio, and Visual Basic.
- Experience with bioinformatics data types and tools (e.g., FASTA, VCF, BLAST, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI/ML models and chatbot frameworks, particularly in a scientific context.
- Experience with statistical methods and data visualization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a biomedical research or life sciences environment.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Prior experience with containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
Basic Compensation: $108,000- $120,000 yearly salary
The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on skills, experience, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. We do not use salary history to determine compensation, in line with applicable law.
