Overview
The Pricing Senior Manager will lead the development and execution of pricing strategies across key capture and proposal efforts. This leadership role oversees pricing compliance, drives price-to-win initiatives, and collaborates with executive leadership to inform bid decisions. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring pricing proposals align with corporate financial goals, FAR/DFARS requirements, and customer expectations. This position has high visibility and plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s competitive positioning. The ideal individual for this position is proactive, highly motivated, and excels in both technical skills and oral presentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the pricing strategy development for major bids and proposals, serving as the primary point of contact for all cost volume activities.
- Provide strategic guidance during RFP analysis, ensuring pricing approach aligns with technical solution and competitive intelligence.
- Oversee the development of detailed pricing models, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with business objectives.
- Present pricing recommendations to executive leadership and guide the decision-making process during bid reviews.
- Direct the execution of Price-to-Win strategies and integrate competitive pricing intelligence into final cost submissions.
- Supervise and mentor pricing analysts or other team members involved in cost proposal development.
- Establish and enforce standards, templates, and best practices for pricing compliance and quality.
- Partner with Finance, Contracts, Program, and Capture teams to align pricing with risk profiles, profitability goals, and operational capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 12+ years' experience in US Government contractor pricing required, with at least 3 years in a pricing leadership or management capacity
- Experience managing direct reports is highly preferred
- A combination of equivalent education and work experience may be substituted for the above requirements
- Knowledgeable in US Code & Federal Acquisition Regulations related to contract pricing, and DFARS Estimating System criteria
- Proven experience managing pricing teams and leading high-value proposal efforts
- Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior leadership and influence business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Aptitude for problem-solving and solution implementation
- Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with business partners
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work under short deadlines and multitask
Basic Compensation: $175,000 - $185,000 yearly salary
The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The final offer may vary based on skills, experience, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. We do not use salary history to determine compensation, in line with applicable law.
