The Role

Donorbox is looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to play a pivotal role in our next phase of growth by owning organic social media. On the tactical side, this role will execute social media campaigns end-to-end, from writing copy to posting content to reporting results. Your insights will help us optimize the performance of this crucial digital marketing channel.

In addition to tactical work, this individual will come up with creative ideas that increase brand recognition, deepen relationships with our community, and help cut through the noise in the fundraising software market. To do this, you’ll strategize, create, schedule, and listen. Experimentation is encouraged!

Our ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of how to leverage each social media channel for B2B brand growth, both from an awareness and revenue perspective.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to project manage content creation, maintain the editorial calendar, and ensure that our social media efforts are part of the larger, omnichannel marketing strategy. This role is fully remote but there is a very strong preference for candidates living in or willing to work in Eastern Time (ET) or Central Time (CT).

Responsibilities

  • Manage organic social media across all of our company’s main channels: Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn
  • Experiment with platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest to determine where it’s worthwhile for us to have a presence
  • Craft content that is tailored to each channel and utilizes best practices
  • Understand our target audience of nonprofit professionals and publish content that resonates and drives them to take action
  • Develop, implement, and execute an effective social media strategy with support from team leaders
  • Regularly report on performance and analyze what’s working and what’s not to optimize future social media content; connect social media to larger company objectives
  • Collaborate with our in-house design team, paid media team, and general marketing team to produce videos, images, thought leadership pieces, and other forms of social media content
  • Support community engagement by interacting with our audience
  • Conduct competitive analyses to help Donorbox outperform its competitors

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in organic social media marketing
  • Experience managing corporate accounts on major social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
  • Proven understanding of social media management platforms such as Hootsuite to schedule and analyze posts
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong writing abilities, an eye for detail, and effective collaboration skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Data-driven mindset that illuminates ways to improve our strategy
  • B2B and/or nonprofit experience strongly preferred

Details

  • Fully remote
  • Strong preference for being able to work in ET or CT time zone
  • Salary: $55K to $75K USD, depending on experience and location

Benefits & Perks

  • Fully remote work from the comfort of your home
  • Generous time off policy of 21 days (birthday included 🎉), 8 designated/floating holidays, 2 paid volunteer days, and 5+ sick days (dependent on state)
  • Employer-sponsored health insurance plan through TriNet, including medical (United Healthcare), dental, vision, and life
  • 401(k) retirement plan via TriNet's partner, Empower, with an employer match of up to 4%
