Supply Chain Buyer

In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we’re excited about our future! We’re excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Buyer to join our growing Supply Chain team.
Location - onsite in Burr Ridge, IL and Elmhurst, IL
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to create and manage purchase orders to ensure the required quantities of materials are ordered at the appropriate time to meet inventory target requirements. The role evaluates and purchases materials from suppliers to maintain targeted inventory levels, while considering purchase price on the order and determining if it is within budget. The Buyer monitors purchase orders until delivery and coordinates with warehousing for receiving. In addition to working cross functionally within the supply chain, this role will also partner with the quality department and the suppliers to ensure materials meet quality standards. Purchasing encompasses both direct materials and indirect materials.
Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders based on forecasts and inventory levels, ensuring accurate specifications and quantities within Microsoft D365
- Partner with master production planning on potential supply disruptions and solutions
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to support delivery timelines, returns, and any changes
- Monitor and identify inventory levels that could lead to shortages or shelf-life issues
- Coordinate with warehousing on solutions for storage utilization constraints
- Place purchase orders for purchase requisitions while coordinating with those departments on delivery times
- Generate reports on purchasing activity to identify gaps on price variance or contract management concerns
Experience & Skills we value:
- Associates Degree or Greater in Business, Supply Chain or Finance, or relevant experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain within a Manufacturing environment
- Utilizing Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to purchase materials, ideally Microsoft D365
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers

Base Pay range for this position:
- $55,000 - $77,000 annually
- Target Annual Bonus: 10% of base salary
The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
