Business Development Manager
We’re Hiring | Business Development Manager (U.S.-based, Remote)
The Role
DuckWorks is growing, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help us expand and strengthen relationships with architectural millwork and casework manufacturers across North America.
This role will work closely with the Founder and CEO, gradually taking ownership of business development, client relationships, and new opportunity generation. It’s a highly collaborative, relationship-driven position with strong autonomy, visibility, and long-term growth potential.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in the field, enjoys building trust with clients, and understands (or is eager to learn) the millwork and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Conduct discovery calls and in-person client meetings
- Identify opportunities for full-time drafting placements and project-based support
- Travel regularly to visit clients and prospects across North America
- Represent DuckWorks at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up plans
- Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure smooth sales-to-delivery handoffs
- Learn DuckWorks’ drafting and engineering workflows
- Contribute to refining sales messaging and go-to-market strategy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B sales or account management experience
- Comfortable with frequent travel
- Strong relationship-building skills (consultative, not transactional)
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently as a primary U.S.-based team member
Preferred Experience
- Millwork, cabinet manufacturing, estimating, engineering, or project management
- Exposure to shop-floor or CNC environments
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, or Mozaik (even at a high level)
- Experience attending AWI, IWF, KBIS, or similar industry events
