As the e-commerce market grows exponentially, so does the challenge of securing it. We are a fast-paced payments processing company with a worldwide presence, and we are looking for a Fraud Prevention Specialist to join our team in Singapore!

Your role will focus on a critical reality of our industry: Fraud. However, we believe the real challenge isn't simply stopping fraudulent transactions, it is detecting suspicious behavior while aggressively preserving our merchants' approval rates. There is no pride in low fraud numbers if it comes at the cost of declining valid sales. We need to be precise, strategic, and user-focused. That is why we are looking for a data-driven professional with a Customer-Centric mentality, in-depth SEA region market knowledge and proven experience in Fraud Prevention to help us find that perfect balance.


What your day-to-day will look like

  • Be the Fraud Prevention reference for the SEA region at EBANX. 
  • Act in a customer centric way for our Merchants;
  • Proactively monitor KPIs and performance;
  • Deep analyze data to understand behaviors and guide important business decisions;
  • Identify offenders, opportunities and come up with new fraud prevention strategies to address and fix it;
  • Contribute with disruptive ideas and insights that will benefit the business.

What you need to shine in this role

  • You have a constant need for self-development. Comfort zone makes you uncomfortable and you’re guided by the test-learn methodology;
  • You are familiar with dashboard tools. Tableau is the company’s official tool, but any knowledge here is welcome;
  • You have payment market and fraud prevention experience and are familiar with the major players that compose the card transactional flow;
  • You have skills on making weekly presentations and reports, as well as presenting it to merchants, partners and internally;
  • You understand how machine learning algorithms work. You will be working closely with Data Science teams and talk about models to increase performance;
  • You have experience in creating anti-fraud rules.
  • You know how to use SQL (joining tables, aggregation functions) to extract data for analysis purposes and also make your daily activities easier;
  • You have fluent English skills. We’re a multinational company and you will need English for your daily activities;
  • You respect all cultures and beliefs and don’t have a prejudgment mindset.
  • You know statistical fundamentals and use them to guide your data analysis such as hypothesis test, back testing rules, relative risk, etc.;
  • You have great communication skills and are a fast learner;

Bonus points if you have

  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Asian languages (e.g., Korean, Japanese) is a plus;
  • You have skills on developing views on Looker;
  • You have experience using Python.
  • You have experience in creating new processes and documentations.
  • You have an above average SEA payment market knowledge.
