Echodyne is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician III with experience in electronics rework to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.
As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in the production of Echodyne radars, enabling us to meet aggressive goals while maintaining a high degree of excellence. You will directly contribute to the rework and repair of advanced radar circuits related to system-level and board-level failures in order to maintain high production rates. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of board-level modifications, solder rework, and assembly on cutting-edge radar circuits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform electronics soldering, rework, and assembly of production radar subsystems
- Aid in the tracking of component-level failures in order to track and correct systemic issues
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated high-level proficiency in electronics assembly, especially including hand soldering of surface mount components in packages as small as 0201
- Experience using Hot-Air rework stations, PCB Pre-heaters, Solder Tweezers, Vacuum rework, manual & stencil-based solder paste application, and reflow using both leaded and RoHS solder
- Familiarity with ESD equipment and procedures
- Ability to follow assembly instructions ranging from verbal general description to detailed written step-by-step directions
- Careful and detail-oriented approach to tasks
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
- Ability to read and understand circuit schematics and assembly drawings, and to identify components based on their schematical representation
- Experience creating custom cable assemblies & cable harnesses from drawings or schematics
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience as an electronics assembly technician working with small package surface mount components
- Trade school training in electronics assembly a plus
- Eligibility to handle export controlled data (ITAR, EAR)

The pay range for this position is $27.98 - $42.11 per hour.
