JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Client Manager will work with a Producer and Account Executive to manage, retain, and expand a diverse book of business including real estate owners, managers, and developers as well as project specific programs (OCIPs/CCIPs) and annually renewing real estate, construction, and hospitality client programs. This role will wear many hats, including (but not limited to) being client-facing, to marketing and placing coverages, to negotiating coverages with underwriters, to issuing COI's and invoices, to reporting, and much more! 

 

LOCATION: This is a hybrid role. Candidates interested in this role must be willing & able to work out of one of the following EPIC offices at least 2 days a week: Concord CA, San Ramon, CA or Birmingham AL. We are not considering remote candidates for this role.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • MUST HAVE extensive experience marketing & placing construction insurance programs and/or working with real estate development risks of all types. Experience with Project Specific programs, OCIPs, CCIPs, and complex Builder's Risk programs is preferred.
  • This is a great role for experienced account managers/account executives who enjoy having their hands in most of the insurance process, including business development, sales and facetime with clients! Starting out, this role will take a lot of administrative tasks off the rest of the team's plate but will soon be trained to take more responsibilities on accounts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Day-day responsibilities of the Client Manager will include the following:

  • Manage new business and renewal marketing and proposal efforts including information gathering, preparation of specifications and submission to markets.
  • Manage client open items per deliverable timelines and work to achieve objectives while becoming a primary contact for client inquiries.
  • With oversight and guidance from Producers/Account Executives, serve as primary contact with underwriters to negotiate new business and renewal programs.
  • Oversee and coordinate invoicing, allocations, certificates of insurance and auto ID cards.
  • Manage renewal of client service agreements, contracts, approvals, and invoicing.
  • Produce proposal and post-binding insurance summaries for internal and external use.
  • Identify coverage gaps and propose enhancements and improvements.
  • Attend client meetings with team members as needed.
  • Develop strategies to assist clients with cost reduction plans; work to cross sell other EPIC specialties where opportunities are presented.
  • Maintain underwriting relationships and attend industry events, as necessary.
  • Assist clients with safety issues and oversee and manage safety resources.
  • Oversee third party OCIP/CCIP administrators and peer review / quality assurance partners.
  • Develop annual stewardship reports detailing EPIC’s accomplishments and highlighting the dollarized value of services provided by EPIC.
  • Assist clients with claims reporting and management and / or claims reviews. Coordinate internal team of claims consultants to ensure client deliverable expectations are met.
  • Deliver all client management services in compliance with protocols and procedures of EPIC broker standards and / or in conjunction with broker standards set forth by clients.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of direct insurance brokerage or related industry experience
  • Specialization in Construction Casualty, including Workers’ Compensation, Automobile Liability, Umbrella/Excess, and Professional Liability
  • Property & casualty license required; CRIS designation preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of Property, Inland Marine and Management Risk (D&O, EPLI, Crime, Cyber, Fiduciary) exposures and coverages
  • Ability to assist clients with cost reduction strategies and cross-sell opportunities

 

COMPENSATION: 

The national average salary for this role is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
