JOB OVERVIEW:
This team is based in the Atlanta, GA area & all work from home, but come into the Atlanta (Sandy Springs) office as needed for team & client meetings. The team works hard & plays hard; their teamwork & culture is a huge part of their success. They work on all lines of commercial insurance and their specialty is 100% working with sports-related clients and is a mix of professional sport teams, franchises, organizations, and amateur sport teams and organizations as well. The Account Manager's main responsibilities are to support the broker with providing top-notch client services, as well as be the primary individual responsible for the team's proprietary COI (Certificates) system & COI requests, as well as the team's Specialties Program (high-volume of purchased products). This role assists with producing client submissions, proposals, presentations, insurance summaries & reports. It will also provide day-to-day support with routine inquiries and transactions concerning clients (such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, scanning, and photocopying).
LOCATION: REMOTE - But candidates must live in the Greater Atlanta GA area and be willing & able to drive to EPIC's Sandy Springs GA office as needed for meetings
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Candidates with strong, professional communication skills – both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation with clients or internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
- REQUIRED: At least 1+ year of experience working for an insurance agency, broker or carrier OR a recent Risk Management / Insurance bachelor's degree.
- Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and who love problem solving and coming up with solutions and answers to client questions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the EPIC Sports customized certificate issuance system
- Communicate with Insureds and certificate holders (municipalities, venue owners, etc.) to assess certificate needs and ultimate issuance
- Correspond with insurance carrier partners to verify certificate and endorsement language compliance
- Interact with clients during on-boarding process to determine short and long-term certificate issuance needs and effectively present and educate clients on system capabilities
• Responsible for the day-to-day servicing of a range of specialty insurance programs, directly delivering solutions to hundreds of small business owners
- Effectively interact / communicate with clients and insurance company representatives
- Respond to client questions, requests and projects in a timely manner
- Provide placement services for clients including assistance with completion of insurance applications, marketing / securing quotations from insurance carriers, reviewing and analyzing quotations, and providing proposals with recommendations for consideration to prospective clients
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
This is an internal and external support role, with increasing opportunities for client-facing activities based on demonstrated proficiency with the content and relationship-building skills. The person filling this role is expected to arrive at EPIC Sports with a track record that demonstrates the following skill set:
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solution-oriented mindset and approach
• Strong time management and prioritization skills – can effectively triage third-party requests
• Highly responsive to client inquiries and requests (committed to EPIC Sports’ 24-hour goal)
• Personal passion for sports and/or fitness preferred
Qualifications
• Education – high school diploma required, college degree preferred
• Georgia Property & Casualty Agents license preferred, but not required; if not already licensed, must get licensed within 90 days of hire
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Familiarity with certificate issuance and strong understanding of Commercial General Liability coverage
• Knowledge of risk purchasing group programs and master policy programs a plus
• Ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational skills
COMPENSATION:
The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
