
Sr. Director, Professional Learning

WHAT IS THE POSITION
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven leader to serve as the Director of Professional Learning. In this pivotal role, you will build and lead our Professional Learning function from the ground up, with a focus on designing and delivering impactful learning experiences for our customers. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to create a comprehensive professional learning program that drives engagement, adoption, and measurable outcomes for educators, administrators, and other stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Strategic Leadership
• Identify key priorities and create a roadmap for the development and rollout of the professional learning team aligned to strategic goals.
• Build a scalable operational framework to support the delivery of professional learning at scale.
• Identify and propose areas for services optimization, expansion, and/or innovation including use of SFDC and other tools.
• Utilize all tools available to identify, track, and forecast opportunities for Professional Learning
• Develop and oversee individual, team, and companywide goals for PL improvement
Content Development
• Design and oversee the creation of high-quality professional learning content, ensuring alignment with best practices in adult learning and pedagogy.
• Collaborate with Product, Research, Customer Success, and Enablement teams to tailor content to meet customer needs and drive product adoption.
• Ensure professional learning content reflects diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles.
Instructional Design
• Leverage cutting-edge instructional design methodologies to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
• Develop flexible learning modalities, including in-person workshops, virtual training, self-paced courses, and hybrid models.
• Pilot and refine programs based on feedback and evolving customer requirements.
Delivery and Facilitation
• Establish a team of expert Professional Learning Specialists to deliver sessions to diverse audiences that enhance, extend, and augment implementation excellence.
• Build and manage a network of certified trainers, ensuring quality and consistency across all delivery channels at scale.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of professional learning delivery to ensure alignment with learning objectives and product fidelity.
Reporting and Impact Measurement (Partner with CX Operations)
• Define success metrics and implement systems for tracking the impact of professional learning programs on customer outcomes and Edmentum business outcomes.
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders, including account-specific challenges and successes.
• Use data to continuously improve program content, design, and delivery.
Communication
• Craft strategic communications, including executive level briefings that drive clarity, alignment, and cross-functional support.
• Design and facilitate compelling presentations that build credibility, brand, and outcome-driven services.
Team Development
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and lead a high-performing Professional Learning team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the department.
• Mentor and coach team members to support their professional growth and development.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
• Proven experience designing and leading professional learning or similar programs in education or EdTech.
• Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and content creation.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with experience delivering professional learning to educators, administrators, or related functions.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring the impact of learning programs.
• Passion for education and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within K-12 or higher education.
• Experience building or scaling a team or department from scratch is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of industry, market, and competitive landscape

Pay range for this role:
$150,000 - $180,000 USD
At Edmentum, we are committed to pay transparency. The salary range provided reflects market research, the responsibilities of the role, and alignment with our compensation principles. Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets. All compensation decisions are individualized and based on the specific circumstances of each candidate.
