Position Summary 

Effectual Project Managers are members of the Project Management Office within Effectual Professional Services (PS) organization responsible for ensuring that customer-facing projects are delivered in-scope, on-time, and on-budget with customer satisfaction, while ensuring a positive experience for the delivery team. You are a "Brand Ambassador" and are expected to advocate for achieving our customer's defined outcomes through the delivery of our services, leading our Professional Services software development and cloud engineering teams. You will report to the Project Management Office Manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

 

Project Leadership & Delivery 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for cloud, AI, and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with client goals, scope, and timelines 
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies tailored to client needs and project complexity 
  • Facilitate Scrum events (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement) ensuring productive, time-boxed sessions 
  • Manage multiple projects within a portfolio, ensuring understanding of organizational goals and priorities.  
  • Prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability, and client needs. 

 

Resource Allocation & Optimization:  

  • Allocate resources across multiple projects to maximize efficiency and productivity.  
  • Identify resource gaps and constraints and collaborate with partners to address resource needs. 

 

Client & Stakeholder Management 

  • Serve as primary contact between clients, delivery teams, and internal stakeholders, maintaining alignment, trust, and transparency 
  • Communicate proactively on project updates, risks, milestones, and issue resolution 
  • Partner with sales and solution architects on project scoping, SOW alignment, and change management 
  • Develop relationships with clients, understanding their goals.  
  • Identify opportunities for additional business and collaborate with sales team to pursue new projects and opportunities 

Budget and Financial Management:  

  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve costs and improve project profitability. 

 

Team Leadership & Coaching 

  • Lead cross-functional teams including cloud engineers, AI/ML specialists, data consultants, and SMEs 
  • Coach teams in self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile engineering practices 
  • Remove impediments and blockers while fostering collaborative, high-performing team culture 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, guiding junior team members and fostering their professional development.  
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in project management and client engagement 

 

Risk & Quality Management 

  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges; develop mitigation strategies 
  • Ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and contractual commitments 
  • Conduct project reviews and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in Professional Services or consulting 
  • 3 - 5 years experience working with AWS Cloud 
  • Proven success managing technical projects in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML, VM environments and Data Analytics 
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and Project Management methodologies 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at Director/VP/C-level 
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Office Suite, and Agile tracking systems 
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate ambiguity 
  • PMI Certifications (e.g. PMP) 
  • Agile certifications (e.g. Scrum Master)

Salary Range for this position: $122,000 - $156,000 

"Salary ranges provided are for informational purposes only and may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's skills and alignment with the role requirements."
