✨ Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Account Manager, you serve as a critical relationship partner and operational resource for eLEND’s strategic clients. This role directly impacts client satisfaction, loan quality, operational efficiency, and long-term business growth. You will act as a trusted advisor to brokers, account executives, and internal teams by ensuring loan files move efficiently through the process while maintaining compliance with agency, investor, and company guidelines.
This position is considered one of eLEND’s most important client-facing roles, requiring a strong balance of mortgage expertise, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management. Your ability to support strategic clients, resolve complex conditions, and deliver a seamless experience contributes directly to both client retention and organizational success.
šŸ› ļø Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed pre-closing reviews to ensure loan files meet agency, investor, and internal requirements.
  • Perform FHA checks, verification of employment reviews, flood certificate validations, FEMA disaster reviews, and appraisal data entry within the LOS system.
  • Review APR changes and loan modifications to ensure compliance requirements are met and updated Closing Disclosures are issued appropriately.
  • Maintain consistent communication with brokers, borrowers, account executives, underwriters, and internal operational teams regarding loan status updates and outstanding conditions.
  • Review, verify, update, and manage approval conditions throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Evaluate conditions submitted by brokers and coordinate with underwriting teams for review and approval.
  • Input and validate homeowner’s insurance, flood insurance, tax, title, and broker fee information accurately within the system.
  • Verify receipt of required tax transcripts and supporting documentation when applicable.
  • Distribute updated conditional approvals and communicate next steps to brokers and borrowers.
  • Ensure all disclosures comply with AFR policies, federal and state regulations, and agency guidelines including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac requirements.
  • Respond to inbound phone calls and email inquiries related to conditional approvals, documentation requests, and file status updates.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to support strategic client relationships and operational success.
  • Exercise elevated authority by reviewing and clearing select conditions beyond standard Account Manager approval authority.
  • Support process improvement initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, communication, and client experience.
  • Assist with additional operational or client support responsibilities as business needs evolve.

  • 3+ years of mortgage operations, account management, processing, underwriting support, or correspondent lending experience.
  • Strong knowledge of agency and investor guidelines including FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac products.
  • Experience reviewing loan conditions, disclosures, compliance documentation, and pre-closing file requirements.
  • Ability to manage strategic client relationships in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan workflows, compliance standards, and operational processes.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with both internal and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, loan files, and escalations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience working within LOS platforms, mortgage systems, and operational tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, sales, operations, and closing teams.

Your day may include:
  • Reviewing pre-closing loan files for compliance, completeness, and investor eligibility.
  • Managing communication with brokers, borrowers, and account executives regarding outstanding conditions and file statuses.
  • Reviewing updated loan terms, APR changes, and disclosure requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinating with underwriting teams to resolve complex conditions and move files efficiently toward closing.
  • Inputting insurance, tax, title, appraisal, and fee information into the LOS system accurately.
  • Responding to client escalations, documentation questions, and operational inquiries.
  • Monitoring loan pipelines to ensure service-level expectations and closing timelines are achieved.
  • Supporting strategic clients through a proactive, relationship-focused service approach.
  • Identifying process gaps or operational inefficiencies and recommending workflow improvements.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver a seamless and compliant client experience.
